Project: Global Fund Community Systems Strengthening – GCNH
Duty station: Ashanti region/ Eastern Region
Duration: 12 months initially, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and fund availability
Supervisor: Senior Technical Advisor/ Project Coordinator
Reports to: Team Lead
Responsibilities/Deliverables for the Project Officer
- The Project Officer shall be responsible for designing, guiding, and directing the dayto-day project activities as well as providing both administrative and technical supervision on the field. Additionally, the project officer shall;
- Prepare quarterly work plan based on agreed targets.
- Develop and submit a plan for monitoring activities of community cadres in their respective districts/ facilities.
- Liaise with ART in-charge, HIV Coordinators and other stakeholders for effective supervision and coordination of project related activities.
- Organize meetings with community cadres to assess progress of work, plan strategies to address challenges, review and clean data collected.
- Organize logistical support and maintain stock levels of commodities and materials and ensure that project logistics are delivered to all beneficiaries.
- Support the continuous capacity building of community cadres particularly on data collection and syncing to the server and address all data related challenges.
- Using evidence of work from the M&E systems and in collaboration with ART incharges, appraise the performance of cadres continually and submit evidence of work at the end of each month for cadre payment.
- Prepare and submit monthly project reports and other professional documents as appropriate and promptly.
- Proactively register GCNH GC7 program implementation with the website of GCNH, major social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.
- In consultation with the Senior Technical Advisor and ICT Manager, develop contents on significant activities to be conducted during implementation of the grant and publish same in the media.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualification for Technical Officer and Project Officer role:
- First Degree in Public Health with specialization in Education, Management or Informatics, Business Administration, Project management, Social Work, Sociology, or a related field in Social Science.
- 3 years relevant work experience is desirable
- Experience working with the Ghana Health sector and other health related NGOs
- Good understanding of HIV/ and Sexual and Gender Based violence
- Good writing and analytical skill
