Finance Associate - National Service, Accra, Ghana

ABOUT YOU AND THE ROLE  

Are you in your final year, eligible for the 2024/2025 National Service? Our national service program gives local youth the necessary skills for employment in instant logistics. Subsequently, successful National Service Personnel are empowered to apply their acquired skills in the local and international job market.  

In this role, you'll experience a wide cross-section of the Finance realm. A successful candidate must have strong communication and negotiation skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment and meet tight deadlines. This role has many customers - both internal and external - and a successful candidate will need to be excited and ready to partner cross-functionally across many teams in the business to achieve the given objectives.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Manage the Account payable function and ensure timely payment of invoices
• Help in the reconciliation of account payables, bank and bill payments
• Support internal and external stakeholders with finance information upon request
• Ensure all payments/transactions are with supporting documents
• Assist with reviewing of expenses on expense reimbursement platform and Credit cards
• Respond in a timely manner to emails and support with audits
• Present data-driven recommendations to the finance team eNnFni4 DOEW25
• Provide general accounting support and assist with team projects

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Diploma or HND/Bachelor's Degree preferably in Accounting or Commerce
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with a strong analytical acumen
• Strong attention to detail and highly-organized
• Knowledge in tax accounting
• Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
• Knowledge in relevant computer software (e.g. Oracle Netsuite, Tipalti, Expensify) is a plus
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and intermediate formulas (v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.) is a plus
• Must be eligible for National Service for the 2024/2025 year
