Project: Global Fund Community Systems Strengthening – GCNH

Duty station and work schedule: Part time, Remote (with occasional travels to project sites)

Duration: 12 months initially, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and fund availability

Supervisor: Senior Technical Advisor

Reports to: Team Lead

Responsibilities for the Data and ICT Manager

  • To develop a detailed guidance and tools for monitoring programmatic data availability and quality
  • Develop and deploy an efficient data management system for projects being run at the GCNH
  • Develop a resilient, interoperable ICT infrastructure for GCNH
  • Lead the training of cadres, project officers and other SR staff on data management
  • Optimize data storage and retrieval systems to ensure quick access to relevant data for analysis and decision making
  • Analyse and ensure timely submission of report to sponsors and principal recipients for all projects being run at GCNH.
  • Conduct data cleaning, validation and troubleshooting to ensure the integrity of project database in use at GCNH
  • Actively support compilation and analysis of data used for project deliverables, including quarterly and annual reports (most importantly the Performance Update reports)
  • Establish a framework to identify, assess and mitigate data security risk deploy advanced security protocols and encryption methods to safeguard sensitive data against cyber threats.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by the Senior Technical Advisor or Team Lead

Planning and Organizing: Ability to develop clear goals that are consistent with agreed strategies; ability to foresee risks and allow for contingencies when planning; and, ability to identify priority activities and adjust them as required.
